A privately held family business established in 1947, Woodman Agitator, Inc. was founded by Mel Woodman.  Mr. Woodman was an innovator in the steel drum agitator industry and held patents on a number of designs.  Today, Woodman Agitator is owned by Mary Woodman Bielozer.  Our management team includes James Bielozer, President, and Raymond Bäck, Daniel Barone and Keith Bielozer.

Our Avon, Ohio manufacturing facility, built in 1998, allows for the clean and efficient production of agitators demanded by the steel drum, automotive and coatings industries. Woodman produces six standard models of agitators for 55-gallon drums. From these six models, Woodman also engineers an array of special use agitators, from 15 to 55 gallon, in carbon or stainless steel. The Woodman#3 /#3 RM series of agitators currently lead the industry. No other manufacturer offers this style of impeller system, incorporating both strength and maximum agitation.

We believe Mel Woodman would be proud that his innovative spirit continues today at Woodman Agitator. Examples of that spirit include Woodman's #44 E-Coat finish, introduction of custom nylon top and bottom bearings, and in the spring of 2004, introduction of a combination agitator flange (2NCF) to improve drum cleanliness and reduce overall costs.
